Hey there! I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the glimmers of Spring beginning, despite the ups and down of the barometer. It will come! I swear! hee
Below please find the invitation for Emergence: Contemporary Artists to Watch, which is coming up very soon, at Galerie Myrtis, in Baltimore, MD — Saturday, March 12, from 2-7. There is also an Artists’ Mixer, to be held on Saturday, April 9, from 5-9. I do so hope you can join us there on either day — it should be exciting to see such a variety of art and meet so many artists — forty of us! I will have two industrial photographs featured, from the July photo shoot in Nashville.
Fingers crossed, I have a few calls into an industrial site here in Maryland! Not that I won’t return often to Nashville for friends and photos, but to have a site locally would rock in so many ways! Keep a good thought for me if you will!
I have two new paintings, Utopia I and II, that I’ve finished since the last email update. They are inspired by the Urban Outfitters catalog from last month, sans models, shoes, fashions — if anyone recognizes the site, please let me know — it seems to be a park/sculpture — ?
Started a new sketch of the Kauai Na Poli Coast from a photo in ISLANDS Magazine‘s 2010 calendar — very excited about this, like a Hawaiian patchwork quilt!

Jason, Dennis Nielsen and I continue to work on music — stay tuned — it’s a slow but thorough and challenging process …
Speaking of challenging, I’m beginning to formulate plot changes for Aunt Nell’s Time Machine and I want to go everywhere with it, rather have the main character go everywhere. So I need to focus and pick the best plot threads, and then go forward.
Finally recovered from the flu and infections and had my physical a week or so ago. However, my red blood cell count is down so I had to go yesterday and give more blood for testing. I’m probably just anemic again, as I was as a child and 2-3 times before surgeries in the past. No biggie.
Jason is doing well on his New Year’s goals, and the family is doing well!
Well, that’s all the news I have for now. Please do drop me a line when you get a chance! I’d love to hear from you!
P.S. Don’t forget that there are t-shirts, bags and stationery in my Cafe Press shop, that if you order art materials from the link on my front page that they send me a bit of change, and that if you want some of my artwork, you can make any size of payments throughout the year to finish up, so long as you have paid up by the end of 2011.
