Of the Blending

I wanted to show you where I am so far today on the new Kauai Cliff piece. I’m working in several layers of different colors of chocolate pastels, to make the brown really dark and deep and not pastel-like, so what you see in the lighter sections is truly the very beginning layer of rust and chocolate. For the veining, I’m using deep rust, a lighter rust and a pale yellow, with just a little blending at the end. Very fun.

A very heavy pain day again. I’m just taking it day by day, but this is very hard. Not sure if the Migranal has been approved, saving the last two doses of it for when I really “need” it, and that may be for Saturday, for when I have plans with a friend. But it didn’t really work Saturday or Sunday when I last used it. Harumph. Very frustrated. I am scheduled to call the neurologist on Thursday. Trying to be patient.

I get the bloodwork for the overall panel for the new doctor to evaluate me a week from tomorrow, but mostly to see if my high level of premature red blood cells has gone down. Let’s hope. I’m honestly looking forward to more information. I plan not to make any changes on the migraine medication until after my primary care physician has made any decisions based on the bloodwork.

May have found a local writer’s group in Rockville to be part of, to help critique Rebekah’s Closet, fingers crossed. Will let ya know for sure when I know. Used to be part of poetry writers’ groups back in the day in Rome, GA and Nashville, TN back in the day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, so, hoping for the best.

So, a bit more painting and then to bed with me again. Not a bad day over all. Hope yours is going well!
