And yes, that is a lot of buttercream yellow, a particular favorite of mine, Naples Yellow mixed with a little Titan Buff and a touch of Hansa Yellow — Yum! Don’t worry, though, it will either balance out or I will rub it out with coloring over it, hee. But I was in a mood.
We had a blast watching the band Squeeze perform last night on the Artist’s Den — I was singing along like a college school girl, and knew many of the melodies and lyrics, more than I knew. Great band.
Perfect temperature today. Jason is taking vacation today and tomorrow and we have the reception tomorrow night at Galerie Myrtis — sooo excited that the migraines have relatively subsided and that is no longer a worry. Have already pulled out my dress and told Jason he’s welcome to participate in spa afternoon with me tomorrow, although he’s skeptical.
Tucked all the plants in on Saturday with the mulch and all is quite tidy and safe in the garden. Jason brought Lemon Thyme, Lemon Basil and Oregano, as well as a blue Hydrangea from Chipper for me for Mom’s Day — whee! It was great fun to plant everyone. The hummingbird has returned several times and Jason’s sister Cathy is looking for a feeder she has in storage for us. In the meantime I’m considering putting a little teacup of sugar water out there for him to keep him coming. Jason has also seen him twice, and also saw a Goldfinch at the regular feeder.
I love this time of year!
