Splash Evolution

Was going to do about half the background in Neutral Gray this morning, then stepped back from the easel, deciding that would be a downer for the piece. Added Flesh color from my first set of student acrylics from when I was General Manager at Plaza Artist Materials back in the day, have been holding on to it all this time. Perfect! Added pure Cobalt, great pop! Have to decide now if I am going to stick with the water them or go purely abstract and allow myself — RED! hmm or just mix the soft pink that is in the original photo — I have gold on the palette as well. We shall see. I think I need to let it be what it wants to be first and foremost. After all, water in the Sun includes the full spectrum of LIGHT.

Now going to work on graphics for the Powerpoint presentation for the Menare Foundation for a while.

Yesterday afternoon I was in so much pain from the cystoscopy due to inflammation they had to call in something for me but I am in no pain now, thankfully — Yay!

It is a milder day today, with a perfect breeze. The wildflowers are lush, Clover, the unfortunately named Vetch, wild Rose, Blackberries, Rushes, grasses, all sorts of wasps and bees and flies all over, and birds without number, also thankfully.
