Cedar Breaks Progress VI, Grounding

Significant progress painting today after resting for several days … needed the energy reboost. The foreground is mostly white and pink and sandy and the background is evergreen from here on out, so I have to pick what to do next. Hmmm. I think background in a way because it will be so messy and only bleed onto the pale foreground when it is being processed. Hmmmm. We shall see.

Here is my palette at the moment, with white and reds to the right, and browns to yellows to the mid-left-down. Awesome. I could live here. In some way, I do.

Listened to Radiohead nonstop for like 2-3 days. Serious processing front. Now I’m listening to college-era music, like George Winston, Winter into Spring and Brian Eno’s atmospherics from the eighties — trying to remember my first serious, true and spiritual individuation period then. Great to paint to, really. But helpful in other ways right now as well, very grounding in a way.
