Today marks the morning when I resumed full walkies by the bog with Chipper, and it was glorious, exhilarating, rejuvenating. Ahhh. Thrilling. And a beautiful day to boot. Tomorrow it’s an unpredictable snow forecast, but today is lovely.
Jason’s sister Cathy is coming over today to cook a full week’s meal for us, and bringing another full week’s meal from his Mom, Arlene. Amazing generosity!
I’m getting ready to sketch for the new painting, and then get some rest in before she arrives. We might go by Appleby’s Antiques … fun! any excuse to get outside into this day!
I didn’t sleep very well last night because nasal congestion/snoring? kept me up because I thought I was keeping the upstairs neighbors up. I had propped two pillows underneath my head to no avail. Oh well, hopefully better sleep tonight.
The redness under and around my collar is subsiding but the itchiness is probably similar to a broken arm or leg cast? Leaving it alone, but about halfway through the day decided to add a sock idea they had given me at the surgeon’s office. An ample supply thankfully, we can wash and rotate them. Like night and day, comfort-wise, but still very itchy. Oh well.
My spinal column itself is getting used to its new position and I’m doing my best to keep good posture. When I’m out of the collar in the morning to do my makeup, etc. I can really tell a huge difference in elongation of my neck. Like I’m no long stooping, and apologetic all the time. There’s a reason I developed that way, behaviorally, don’t you know. For years I apologized profusely for almost no reason at all. Bad loop, that.
Heard back from the local bookstore owner and he will be reading my book soon and has discussed my book with the local publisher, more discussion to follow the bookstore owner’s finishing the book. I’m very lucky. I think this all bodes well, because I believe in the book.
Okay, for the sketching now …
I am pretty excited about this one. It feels pretty sensual. We shall see.
