Great Barrier Reef II – VII

Had a fabulous and sort of wild time painting this middle section today after my friend left today, sort of unexpectedly fun time. Painting water can to that to you. Mixing colors, too. It’s a beautiful section in the photo, which is sort of free between cobalt and turquoise, so I’m trying to show that as well. Ah, but dinner must be made now.

Just a quick note about a piece I saw today on beautiful Japanese gardens on The Smithsonian Channel. So precise are the movements of the tea ceremony. I thought, I would die under such striction, such a free spirit am I, even though I admire precision, wholeheartedly, of intruments, of gears, great machines, of dancers, bodies in motion, choreography. I strongly believe in the classical training before the jazz, for example, knowing the form before the freedom. Still. A funny quandary. Yin Yang.
