Wild Peony IX – IV

This painting is fairly blooming on the canvas before us! As usual, I’m loving mixing up each color anew and fresh, then determining where she should go, like pieces of a puzzle. I do still look at the original photograph for inspiration, but it is for the spirit of the flower now.

The appointment with the spine doctor went well this morning. He says I have bursitis in my hip and prescribed physical therapy and Skelaxin. We talked about how I need to maximize my time of being on this type of insurance while I can, etc. So that was good.

While I was waiting I read in Chopra about how it is really better to think of your relationship with your body as if your body is a dear friend, to treat her well, and have reasonable relations and expectations of her. Holistic expectations, not the car running down over time, but more of a positive, you do so much for me all the time, you amaze me, aspect. An awesome attitude. So while I was sitting there in the waiting room, I went from bemoaning my achey painful state to a more positive awareness. Chopra is a miracle worker with attitude adjustments, really.

I’m ready to rest now, per my usual fatigue inside and out. Even Chopra suggests more napping.
