I had to put on the ole glasses to make sure I spelled that, and had to sound it out loud phonetically to make sure I remembered it long enough to get it to the computer, hee.
This from the brand spankin’ new ISLANDS Magazine, doncha know. Oh how they thrill me. And hopefully you. In time.
Heard back from Chipper’s doctor yesterday afternoon and she said that for a dog his age (ten, we think) that his shoulder is fine on the pit bull side, but the elbow is slightly arthritic and he may even have a pulled muscle there. Rest, pain meds and the Dasquin he’s been taking. I explained all of this to him. He’s cool. I’m somewhat better about it all today; it does take me time to absorb these major transitions. Walked him on the outer loop of the complex and he was much peppier about that. That is our rainy day route so that kind of counts as a regular day route. So he took that much better than the lesser inner complex route. Bah. Very well. So that shall be the route for now.
Strawberry pancakes this morning gobbled up by half and the rest for the maker, Jason.
Since then, he’s been at watering the plants while I took Chipper, cleaning his bathroom, and getting groceries. I’ve been at taking out recycling and trash, and hanging more paintings. The den is all show-stopping (!) tropical landscapes as best as I can muster. Then I’ve run out of “eyes” for stringing and Jason says stay home instead of go get more. Ahhh.
Ordered a JCrew white long-sleeved cable crew cotton white sweater that was seventy five bucks marked down to 24 — can’t beat it — gotcha! I watch their sales like a virtual HAWK! meh.
Ordered ten copies of Rebekah’s Closet in print for delivery on Wednesday — for the Gaithersburg Book Festival and for the Open House, if they don’t sell then.
Made a marinade for Jason for this week’s chicken dinner — fresh herbs from our wee garden — rosemary, oregano, basil, lemon, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil — done! Chipper watched me for a while and smelled each herb, then went straight to bed.
Pulled out framed fotos for Jason to take to work — Puerto Rico beaches — I just don’t think they will sell here — we need the space and he needs art on his office’s walls —
Did said sketch — 🙂
Now, I’m to seeing if Jason’s scans of old 4×6 color prints from 2001 film photos of a roadside motel side with neon tubes in the daytime in Tennessee — TOOK — on an external hard drive — if so, you shall see them on the morrow — woot!
