Okefenokee Sketch

From TIME Magazine’s Amazing Earth, a sketch of the misnamed Okefenokee Swamp, aka Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, in Southeast GA and FL. But what do I know. Having been there, I still may have the name and deets wrong. Still. I love the place, and flash on our trip there, and Cumberland Island, Savannah, everything. Love it. So this should be fun. Beautiful photo. May get me digging into some of my own photos to paint from. We shall see.

Last night Jason and I were in bed and he put his hand on my forehead and got up for three Tylenols, a big glass of ice water and a banana. Potassium cravings due to the Topamax all night long is why for the banana, case you wonder for the latter. I do love playing havoc with the English. Hee. Way. Anyhoo. Slept well. Not doing well though.

Neither is the computer. Checking email on the Blackberry and the computer is panicking still four times a day. Tomorrow Jason will take the dear Mac Tower and all of my livelihood in to the dear folks at Absolute Mac. So. No blogging. But I shall be getting better and painting and getting ready for the party in ways other than technologically. Hmm.

Wonderful leisurely walkies again with Chipper although I must say a bit listlessly and dizzily on my part. Walking under the influence of infection officer. Sorry. Doing my best. Saw Abby feeding the birds in the children’s park this time. Don’t think she can still feed the bats because of the bog being disturbed so mightily at the moment. She loves checking out which bracelets I have on each day. You have on a different color every day, she exclaimed today. I have a whole big bowl of them. Decadent silly bowl of bling. Too hot for necklaces but bracelets, yah. Love ’em. Stack ’em. Whatever I can get away with.

Chat with you as soon as I’m literally able.
