Hana Beach, Maui – X

DSC_4518Today I added clouds, first with a very light outline with the tiniest round brush, then filled in lyrically with the same brush, using Titanium White and Acrylic Glaze to aid with flow. There is quite a bit more cloud cover in the original foto, but I just didn’t feel it for the painting.

The I lightened the more expressive roots I had made, with a mix of Mars Black and Burnt Umber.

I think I’ve almost finished the painting, but I need to see it again in the morning to be sure.

We got FIOS this morning, the technician arriving just as I was taking Chipper for long walkies, which were delightful and easygoing.

It took many hours, and our landline doesn’t work, there is wire draped through the bushes outside which leaves us feeling a lot vulnerable overnight, but for now we have great HD TV and WIFI service on all of our Apple products, which is most excellent, I must say.

I downloaded, in celebration, more Nature sounds for free, in the meditation apps section of my IPhone, and am quite happy with all of that. Wow.

!

I also broke through my writer’s block while the technician was here, oddly? and wrote 1291 words on my novel, The Front Porch, getting past a peculiar plot twist that had obviously been bugging me as well for some time. I am ready to write more!

Now I am quite exhausted, yawning every other second, it seems, so am going to lay myself down with some Nature sounds and a warm compress for the left hand, which continues to hold the pesky blood clot …
