Well, some of it. I whisper to myself as I paint, among other things, regarding painting, among other subjects, Keep to the sketch, mind you.
And I do. And with good reason. For some reason, there is a character to the original sketch, a comical, lively, something, that shines through if I keep to the line.
Added Chromium Green to the palette, and had to add more Sap Green and, by mistake, Historic Green Hue. There will be a Raw Sienna, read Butterscotch, fork in this road.
The wind is blowing outside, something fierce, as they say.
The Tulip Tree right outside my window is holding forth, however, good lady that she is, already with buds.
It’s supposed to be like, nine degrees tomorrow and schools are closing because of it. Layers, my good fellowes. Layers. And plenty of them, squall gloves by Land’s End if you have them, Hats, Scarves, socks as thick as you can find. I shall not be wearing a skirt on the morrow.
Damn. But for another daye.

We picked up the Ready to Live show at the Dempsey Gallery of the Takoma Park Community Center this morning and then went directly to Federal Express to ship Ready to Live XI to the Mantra as Art show at the Journey Art Gallery in Canton, OH. Their show runs from January 10 – February 14 — yay! Someone should fall in love with her and take her home!
