An absolutely beautiful day … Chipper is a Nature Boy … we had lovely walkies, although super short for us … we’ll take it. Do you hear the birds, I ask, just like old times.
He gave me a Snoopy Mother’s Day card, roses and a massage on Tuesday, right? Right. I thanked him, and Jason and Chipper again, and Chipper rolled on his side, for what? A massage of course. Why not? I stopped again just now and gave him another. Why not?
We went today to Aroma in Shirlington, VA to celebrate Jason’s Mom’s Day and it was a lovely gathering, yummy food. The George Washington Parkway is another Cathedral of Trees now. It smells so of fresh leaves. Yum. It makes me want to paint all the more. The Wildwood Manor Motel photos did come out well, and I’ve almost gotten them ready for you, but energy does not permit both getting them ready today and painting for you today. I figured you’d rather I painted for you today.
Hope I’m right.
Just helped Jason by making a bit of dressing for the sauteed broccoli — garlic, lemon, salt and pepper. Then sliced rounds of yellow squash, which did take some time, and delved into the garden for lemon oregano and lemon thyme (!) along with some Italian shredded cheese and olive oil, black pepper tossed and into the the oven for the roasting, smelling oh so nicely now …
